For a long time I was just dependent on the doctors. I was dependent on the drugs. I was dependent on alcohol, on sex, on all these different things to cope. The big shift for me was getting out of this cycle of playing the blame game.

About The Series

In this MedCircle Series, Jacob Moore will discuss his childhood trauma and how he has overcome many mental health obstacles. He also shares with the viewers how they, too, can manage their own mental health struggles. Jacob has started a wonderful organization called, No Stigmas. So many people are aware of the stigma attached to mental health disorders and may not seek help or speak openly about their struggles. No Stigmas gives people a voice and allows them to speak with other people who may be experiencing the same mental health issues. They can share their stories without feeling alone or ashamed. Enjoy this heartfelt series, and MedCircle applauds the work that Jacob does to de-stigmatize mental illness.

Who is this series for?

This series is for anyone who has suffered from childhood trauma. Trauma is defined as a bodily injury or a mental shock. As you will see in the series, a person may experience multiple traumas as a child, and how they deal with these traumas will either hinder their mental health as an adult, or they will thrive in spite of it.

This series will also enable people who care for these trauma survivors to better understand trauma and become a more empowered supporter.

I learned about NoStigmas a few years ago and was excited to finally learn more about Jake’s story and his personal journey. Thank you for doing this series.
