About the Series

Too many hardworking individuals chalk up burnout to “normal” day-to-day stress. The reality is that workplace stress can cross the line into chronic burnout quite quickly, and without the sufferer realizing it. In fact, up to 77 percent of those who work on the front lines – like healthcare workers and emergency responders – experience severe, chronic burnout at some point in their careers. More often than not, it still goes unrecognized, unaddressed and untreated because it’s mistaken as “part of the job.”

This chronic condition stems from the workplace but affects all aspects of a sufferer’s life. Dr. Judy Ho has the actionable strategies for how to cope with burnout and compassion fatigue, and how to prevent it in the first place.

Burnout is not part of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) – so this series is a crucial new tool for combating compassion fatigue and chronic burnout.
